We offer a variety of convenient ways to make a payment to restore your service.
- You can pay online through My Energy Center or explore a variety of our other convenient payment options.
- Service restoration times vary based on the time you make your payment and whether you have a remote-enabled meter.
Service restoration times
Remote restoration
If you pay between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. your service will be remotely restored the same day. If you pay between 10:01 pm and 5:00 a.m., service restoration times vary. Applies to residential customers with remote-enabled meters.
Important safety information: Your electric service will be activated whether anyone is home or not. To avoid damage, it is important that you TURN OFF all appliances, electrical devices, or any source of borrowed power such as generators or extension cords at this location before the power is restored.

Fielded restoration
If your service is for a business, a natural gas meter, or an electric meter which is not remote-enabled, then you must first make a payment - online, by phone, or in person. After making your payment, call us to schedule an appointment at 1-800-411-7343 to restore your service. In general, if you make a payment and call us by 5:00 p.m., we will restore your service the same day. After 5:00 p.m., service will be restored the next day.
Also, in cases where we sent a technician to disconnect your gas or electric service, please call us to schedule an appointment to restore your services.
More ways to pay
In addition to My Energy Center, we offer a variety of convenient ways to pay to restore your service.
Pay the amount required to restore your service using Guest Pay. Simply, look up your account. No need to login.
Pay with your digital wallet, credit or debit cards, or electronic check with our third-party processor for a processing fee of $1.50 per transaction.
Call SDG&E at 1-800-411-7343 to pay by credit card, debit card or electronic check through our third-party processor for a processing fee of $1.50.
You can make a payment at one of our authorized payment locations.
After making your payment at an authorized payment location, please take the following steps to have your service restored:

- After we receive your payment information, we'll place the request to restore service at your location.
