Regional Gap Analysis

Transportation is the leading cause of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and air pollution in the San Diego region and throughout the state of California. California has established aggressive electric vehicle (EV) and EV infrastructure goals to help reduce GHG emissions and air pollution. The Accelerate to Zero Emissions Collaboration is composed of regional organizations invested in a clean transportation future that recognizes the need to advance transportation electrification through regional collaboration. The Accelerate to Zero Emissions Collaboration has hired a consultant, Black and Veatch, to develop a regional EV Gap Analysis with direction from the Accelerate to Zero Emissions Steering Committee. This EV Gap Analysis expands upon previous EV planning efforts to identify existing efforts and conditions, and barriers to adoption. The EV Gap Analysis developed through this effort is being leveraged to develop a comprehensive EV Strategy for the region.
