A Regional Collaboration to Curb Air Pollution and Climate Change through Transportation Electrification

 

Our Vision

Accelerate to Zero (A2Z) Emissions is a collaboration comprised of regional stakeholders in support of transportation electrification in San Diego.

The purpose of the Accelerate to Zero Emissions Collaboration is to develop a vision and implement a San Diego Regional Electric Vehicle (EV) Strategy that will accelerate investment in zero-emission vehicles "ZEVs" and EV infrastructure that reduces air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions to combat climate change.

The “A2Z EV” Collaboration was established in the summer of 2020 by the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG), San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), County of San Diego, San Diego Air Pollution Control District (SDAPCD), and City of San Diego.

The Collaboration seeks to: 

  • Attract public and private investment to the region and maximize the effectiveness of regional charger deployments;
  • Develop programs that enable residents and local agencies to purchase EVs and install chargers;
  • Encourage equitable access to EVs and charging infrastructure for all San Diegans; and 
  • Develop and implement a Regional EV and Transportation Electrification Strategy.
