Generator Grant Program

The Generator Grant Program provides customers with a resiliency assessment by phone and information about preparedness and support resources available  during an active Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). Eligible customers, who are medically vulnerable and energy dependent, must also live in areas with elevated wildfire threat and have experienced a previous PSPS occurrence.

If you meet the Eligibility Requirements and have not received a notification letter in the mail, you may complete the online Interest Form below to be notified if your household qualifies to participate. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date by logging into  My Energy Center  or
calling 1-800-411-7343.

PLEASE NOTE: Customers who are medically vulnerable, energy dependent, and are experiencing a PSPS event should contact 211sandiego.org for immediate assistance.

  • You must reside in a High Fire Threat District (HFTD) Tier 2 or Tier 3 and have experienced at least one PSPS outage since 2019.
