What is a WDAT Interconnection?
WDAT applies to all generating/storage facilities interconnecting to SDG&E’s Distribution System and selling at wholesale to the California Marketplace.
For interconnections of generating/storage facilities interconnecting to SDG&E’s Distribution System and selling only to SDG&E under Rule 21, refer to the Rule 21 .

WDAT Tariff Notices
As a result of FERC’s approval of CAISO’s compliance filing on Order No. 2023, the next proposed available cluster application window for interconnection requests to the WDAT Cluster Study Process will parallel that of the CAISO and will be October 1 – October 15, 2026. SDG&E’s own compliance filing for Order No. 2023 is currently pending at FERC, but SDG&E expects FERC to approve maintaining a parallel cluster application window to CAISO. SDG&E will update this notice as needed to reflect any new information as it becomes available.
